ATREE’s The Family WilD Quest 1.o

AS Article 51 A of the constitution of India says “It shall be the duty of every citizen of India to protect and improve the natural environment including forest, lakes, rivers, and wildlife and to have compassion for living creatures” the ATREE’s Family WilD Quest 1.O, an annual Wildlife Quiz Competition for students along with their parents was conducted on December 30, 2018, to make students explore, encourage and award the budding talent more aware of conservation and protection of the Indian wildlife and to focus their attention towards the importance of Kalakad-mundanthurai Tiger Reserve and Tamiraparani Landscapes. The programme was inaugurated by Mr. S. Nambiraj, Former Director, RSETI, Tirunelveli at the District Science Centre, Tirunelveli. The caduceus, or the staff of Hermes, there’s the two snakes going up it, which means that the venom can also be healing.” ~ Nicolas Cage The Snake Conservation and Snakebite Mitigation is a public awareness campaign initiated and headed by The Madras Crocodile Bank (MCBT) with CSR support from USV Pvt. Ltd., Infosys Foundation and Deshpande Foundation. Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE) is associating with MCBT running this awareness campaign in Tirunelveli and Thoothukudi Districts. The awareness campaign employs the best techniques of the advertising industry to educate people on how to avoid snakes and highlight that antivenom is the only antidote to a venomous snakebite.
